Apple's senior vice president of software engineering, who took charge of the company's AI efforts after John Giannandrea's departure. He presented the rebuilt Siri and Apple's Gemini-assisted foundation models at WWDC 2026.

Former head of engineering for Google's Gemini assistant, he joined Apple in December 2025 as vice president of AI, reporting to Craig Federighi. He leads Apple Foundation Models, machine-learning research and AI safety and evaluation.
