Apple unveils its first touchscreen Mac, a MacBook Pro with M5 Max that runs large LLMs on-device

Apple's new MacBook Pro brings touch to the Mac for the first time, a tandem OLED display, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips with up to 128GB of memory, and Siri AI with a Dynamic Island in macOS 27; Apple says the M5 Max can run LLMs with hundreds of billions of parameters on-device. Pre-orders open October 28 from $2,899, with availability on November 6.
