Google launches Project Suncatcher, its first TPU test satellite for space-based AI data centers

A SpaceX Falcon 9 carries Google's experimental satellite with four TPUs into low-Earth orbit to test the chips and a new cooling system. Further satellites in 2027 will test laser links between orbital data centers.
