OpenAI publishes 722 AI-generated math manuscripts claiming solutions to open problems
OpenAI releases on GitHub, under Apache 2.0, 722 manuscripts in 372 result families produced by an unreleased model given about 4,000 open problems, at roughly three hours of ChatGPT Pro compute per result. Only 162 have complete Lean proofs, and mathematicians urge caution over verification and credit.
