Microsoft's Azure grows 48% as its commercial backlog jumps 73% to $677 billion

Microsoft reported fiscal first-quarter 2027 revenue of $92.3 billion, up 19%, with Azure revenue up 48% and Microsoft Cloud revenue up 30% to $63.9 billion. Commercial remaining performance obligation rose 73% to $677 billion and additions to property and equipment doubled to $39.4 billion.
