Google Cloud and NASA test a space logistics robot driven by Physical Intelligence's Pi0 model

Google Public Sector and NASA's Johnson Space Center, JPL and Human Research Program are testing a proof-of-concept robot for deep space missions that astronauts direct in plain English, using Physical Intelligence's open-source Pi0 vision-language-action model. Fine-tuned in about 2.5 hours on Google Cloud, it reached an 85% initial success rate at locating and moving a medical bag in lab tests.
