EU AI Omnibus enters into force, delaying high-risk obligations

Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, published in the Official Journal on July 24, took effect and formally moved Annex III high-risk AI Act deadlines from August 2026 to December 2027, while adding bans on AI-generated non-consensual sexual imagery and CSAM.
