US DHS bans DeepSeek from federal civilian agencies and orders its removal

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin ordered civilian federal agencies to exclude DeepSeek products from procurement and remove those already in place, citing the Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Act and risks of data reaching the Chinese government. Exceptions require a request 60 days in advance.
