Anthropic and OpenAI sought control over what outside AI evaluators publish, Reuters reports

According to Reuters, Anthropic and OpenAI privately sought approval rights over what independent evaluators could publish about their models, while publicly promising them editorial freedom. Anthropic says established reviewers keep their independence; OpenAI says it only removes confidential details.
